CLIMB ON Like Shredder Cheddar

2025 another year of growth—-Looking back at 2025 it was the year to THRIVE and that is exactly what I did. I love checking something off the to-do list, hitting a business target, or reaching new heights. Even better is circling back to something from a year ago and seeing how far you’ve come.
Growth brings excitement, but it also brings risk and uncertainty. You only get to evolve if you keep chasing the dream and pushing beyond the comfort zone.

Risk management is always in the background for me: How will this decision affect my short and long-term goals? I’m cautious financially, but ambitious when it comes to business.
This month brought choices that could look like setbacks or opportunities — and honestly, it depends on how you view life. I choose to see challenges as fuel. It keeps things exciting and keeps me out of the rut. I’m learning to pace myself, be more strategic, and not jump just because someone says jump.
Speaking of pacing… earlier this month, I woke up to a loud crash. A drunk driver had totaled the parked Shredder Cheddar mobile in front of HQ. Thankfully no one was hurt, so at first it didn’t seem so bad — until I realized how much I relied on that car for events, deliveries, and meetings.
For the past month I have been on foot, bike or catching rides. It was definitely a setback, but slowing down reminded me that good decisions outweigh quick decisions. Now, on top of other large business expenses, I’ll also be purchasing a new business vehicle.
If any Shredder Cheddar crew members are selling a hybrid or electric SUV/crossover that weighs 6,000lbs — hit me up.
We had a successful production run — same batch size, but only a 3% loss compared to our previous 27% loss. Huge win and a major goal checked off.
Shipping was another story… the batch arrived a week late and almost missed my flight to Portland. The morning of my departure I called UPS and somehow landed first on their delivery route. Box arrives, I label like a madwoman, pack what I can, and end up finishing the labeling job at the airport. True entrepreneur life. You can purchase www.shreddercheddar.com

Returning to the Oregon State University Holiday Bazaar brought back memories from last year. This time I had a sellable product, and customers were impressed. Sales were solid — though not as strong as they would’ve been at an athletic event. I caught myself reflecting afterwards on how I could have pitched it differently so people recognized their need for it. Shredder Cheddar is universal… with one simple requirement: you love sharp, creamy cheese.

I also got positive input from Market of Choice buyers, and I’m looking forward to being on their shelves soon.
While in Portland, I linked up with my ultra trail running community for our annual Forest Park run — 13 miles with 3,300’ of gain. I sold Shredder Cheddar to my community and saw them eating it as fuel or post-run recovery. Trail community + cheese = joy.
I also met with a local outdoor shop buyer who’s interested in talking again for spring 2026. Momentum.
Once back in Pensacola, the holidays were right around the corner. Orders came in fast and I hustled to get them out for stocking stuffers — no one specifically requested Christmas delivery, but I assumed that’s what they wanted, so I made it happen.

On December 20th, Fleet Feet held the Santa vs. Banana Run — a hilarious, low-key 5k. I sold Shredder Cheddar there and also volunteered. Nothing like watching Santas race bananas.
Shredder Cheddar labels are officially complete! I’ve been using them for the last month and they look fantastic. The next step is getting them printed professionally — I’m working with Rose City Labels in Portland.
We’ve also been eating Shredder Cheddar in new ways:
• celery + tuna
• bananas
• apples
• beef sticks
• ham + sausage slices
