Manifestation & Milestones

Good Morning!

April was a whirlwind — full of milestones, emotions, and the feeling that my hard work is finally paying off. For the past two years, I’ve been building the foundation of Hull-some Foods, laying down each layer with intention. I threw every iron into the fire, patiently waiting for the spark — and this month, everything began coming together at once.
They say not to reinvent the wheel, but that’s exactly what I’ve been doing. It’s been joyful, uncertain, and at times overwhelming. To ground myself during all this transition, I started a daily meditation practice — and honestly, it’s helped, patience is key. I won’t sugarcoat it: this was a monumental month for me as a business owner. What once felt like excitement turned to fear — real, gut-level fear. I called my mom one day, completely overwhelmed, saying I needed a partner to do this with me. She reminded me: “Why? You built this on your own. You’ve done all the work. Why would you give it away now?” That moment stuck with me.
And then I called my dad to share all the good news. He said, “I’m just so proud of you, Megan,” and repeated it a few times. Their support gave me the strength to keep going, and not give up. This is what the patent pending Shredder Cheddar is all about; push outside of your comfort zone, be the best you can be, go big, and reach your goals.
This month I finished up an investor cohort through Oregon Entrepreneurial Network, and was asked to pitch to a group of investors who were intrigued by Shredder Cheddar. After pitching, I was asked to return for another round to discuss my company more thoroughly even though I was one of the youngest companies. We met on a zoom call where I went over my pitch deck and financials. I heard in that meeting that I was on the right track, they like my products, me, and my story. They assured me that they want me to be successful and that I am on their radar. One investor even shared that his wife ran the Boston Marathon with Shredder Cheddar — and PR’d. She swears that Shredder Cheddar gave her the strength to reach her goal. This is a story I hear again and again, Shredder Cheddar is fueling athletes to reach new heights.
Early April, Darwoft Dare to Dream Podcast released my founder’s story interview on Spotify. I nearly cried as I listened to myself talk about Shredder Cheddar hearing how far I had come, and where I planned to go. In that interview, I expressed confidence and excitement for Shredder Cheddar by Hull-some Foods. I shared this podcast amongst friends and family, and the response I received was so positive. They could see the hard work I had put in and I could feel their support. This was exactly what I needed at that moment. You can listen to it here: Spotify Episode
This month, my shelf-life testing was completed. We now know for certain the first of its kind; Shredder Cheddar, an all natural, shelf-stable cheese with electrolytes is good for over a year! This opens so many doors and confirms what I’ve believed from the start: this product is a game-changer. This is absolutely incredible news!
Finding a co-packer has been one of my biggest challenges. For over a year, I followed every lead, but nothing was the right fit. In March, a promising option in Oregon fell through, and I felt crushed. I had to start the search all over again. I was hesitant about another option in Colorado — it just didn’t feel right. And then I made one more call — to Michael Gabel at Colorado State University’s Food Innovation Center — and he gave me a new contact: Fuel & Iron in Colorado.
I called, and it just clicked. One call, one answer, and after a year of searching, it finally fell into place. That’s when I knew: it’s not just about working hard — it’s about timing, alignment, and a bit of luck. After this milestone was reached I felt rejuvenated. This next step will cost over $30,000, which is a big investment for a small company, but I’m approaching it with clarity and a plan to scale sustainably. I am very excited to say the least to partner with Fuel and Iron.
This led me to a place where I knew I needed to start exploring crowdfunding. That clarity led me to launch a GoFundMe to raise $15,000 to support manufacturing, expos, and marketing. Friends and family have already begun to contribute — thank you so much for your support. If you’d like to help:
I’m constantly amazed by the people who believe in this mission. Advisors, mentors, friends — you know who you are. I couldn’t do this without you, and I’m deeply grateful for the time, guidance, and belief you continue to offer. It takes a village, and I couldn't do this without you!
This month, I also connected with the Studer Community Institute in Pensacola, thanks to a fellow entrepreneur. They offer Venture Mentor Services to guide businesses through every stage, all the way to exit. I was told they were not accepting applicants, but then I reached out, and they were. I have applied, and I am waiting to hear if I will be accepted into the program. I know this is an incredible opportunity, and I am very hopeful I will be able to participate in SCI’s Venture Mentor Services.
Lastly, I want to thank you — all of you — for your continued love and support. You’ll soon be able to order from my website, but in the meantime, I’m shipping nationwide. I’m offering boxes of 10 for $50 (includes a free Shredder Cheddar koozie to keep your summer drinks cold!).📩 Email me to order: hullsomefoods@gmail.com
